There are more than 700 medical plants in the garden, which holds two greenhouses, an herbarium, a seed bank, a plant lab and a department for plant dehydration. Research, production, promotion, encouragement for active and safe usage, preservation and improvement of variety of medical plants, supplying materials and workplaces for the educational programs and encouraging further studies are among the objectives of Zeytinburnu Garden of Medical Plants. The garden takes an active role in Merkezefendi Traditional Medicine Feast as well.
