The epitaph above the entrance which has Qur’anic verses written in sülüs script says that the building was erected in 1618. The building which was built by limestone blocks on a square plan with a single dome, represents classical Ottoman architecture. Graves of Abdülbaki Paşa and Mehmed Eşref Efendi (died in 1880), a preacher of the Blue Mosque are housed in the cemetery part. It was restored in keeping their original character in 2007 by Zeytinburnu Municipality and started housing activities of culture and arts under the name of Nağmedar.
