Seyyid Nizam passed away in 1550 at the age of 63. His funeral prayer was carried out by Merkez Efendi, one of prominent Sufis of the time. His tomb complex houses the graves of his son and some of other prominent figures of the same sect as well. The lodge was rebuilt in 1872 by the order of Ebrunigar Kalfa from Ottoman harem. After dervish lodges were closed down in the Republican Era, it started to be used as a mosque. A new mosque designed by Aydın Yüksel was built here in 2013-2014 by Zeytinburnu Municipality.
