After a Pulmonary Surgery department was established in the hospital complex in 1980 it became Yedikule Pulmonary Diseases and Pulmonary Surgery Training and Research Hospital. The hospital, which brought up hundreds of doctors in the fields of both pulmonary diseases and pulmonary surgery, is one of the establishments that have been designated for the health tourism by The Ministry of Health. Yedikule Day, the last Friday of May, is celebrated in the hospital by scientific and social activities.
