It was built by Sarkis Gövderelioğlu in 1985 in the name of his mother Atin Hanım. The old people house was constructed in Surp Pırgiç Armenian Hospital as well by the same benefactor. Balıklı Armenian Church designed by the architect Yetvart Şahbaz is the latest church constructed in Turkey and the only example for modern church architecture in Turkey.
