Adnan Menderes Mausoleum

Located in Topkapı, the graves of Prime Minister Adnan Menderes, the foreign secretary Fatin Rüştü Zorlu and the Secretary of Treasury Hasan Polatkan who fell and have been executed during the coup on May 27, 1960 have been transferred here from Imralı Island after the restoration of honor act in 1990. The mausoleum designed by İzzet Yağcı and Bayram Yağcı in an octagonal form inspired from Ottoman and Seljuk architecture.
